Who am i..? My name is Chris Freer, I was born in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire in April 1972 but spent most of my childhood living in Bourne, South Lincolnshire. I moved to Cockermouth, Cumbria in 1999. I married my partner Rachel in 2006 and we live together with our new baby son, Ben and two Border Terriers, Jack & Molly. I have been taking photographs for 22 years, since the age of 13 when I was lucky enough to be bought my first SLR camera for Christmas, and even luckier to have parents that continued to buy film for me to practice even though most pictures at that time should have been thrown away. I still own that camera and find it interesting to look at it now and again to see how things have moved on. I purchased my first digital camera in 1999 and soon realised that this opened up new opportunities and the ability to capture many more images than using conventional film cameras. I estimate that I have taken 40,000 / 45,000 photographs in the past 6 years!

| Living in Cockermouth I soon realised the beauty of the Lake District and began exploring and taking many photographs, this often involved early morning trips to capture some amazing views that can only be seen at either sunrise or sunset. |

The pictures I took were for
my own pleasure but soon friends and family showed
interest in them and I realised there was a market for
my photographs. I have a passion for trying to photograph
an image that tells a story or capture a moment in time.
Weddings.. It was in 2001 that I was asked to photograph a family wedding, with a bit of reluctance I agreed and realised at the end of that day that I had really enjoyed the challenge of wedding photography. Since then I have photographed many other weddings and always look forward to working with the bride and groom to achieve the results that we are both happy with. I am my own biggest critic and am constantly striving to improve the quality of the images and service that I supply. There are many styles that can be adopted in photography, the three main ones that I choose to work with for weddings are traditional, reportage and contemporary. I personally think a mixture of all three is a good choice but being a paid guest at your wedding means that I will extend every courtesy to ensure you get the exact style and results that you require. |

Standard story books.. A story book is a bound hard-cover book in a choice of colours for the cover with 30 pages of your best pictures printed directly onto double sided silk coated paper. This is a fantastic way to tell the story of your wedding day and to present your wedding photographs in a unique way, they make ideal gifts to parents or friends to say thank you after your big day.
Story books are available in twelve colours, all made from high quality suede-fibre or Leather. The books are approximately 220mm x 290mm. They are printed on the highest quality Allegro paper. This has a silk finish (not as high gloss as a conventional photograph).
I am happy to create one of these great story books for you. The images would be a combination of all three traditional, contemporary and reportage styles which would tell the whole story of your day. Between 50 and 75 photographs would be used. The 2009 cost to have a story book made of your wedding would be £85 for the linen covers. Leather covered story book price in 2009 is £125.
